It all started with a simple question: Do I actually like baking? What began as a casual experiment quickly turned into something much more. I discovered that when I’m baking, all of the outside stresses and worries just fade away. In that moment, my whole world shrinks down to a single focus: making this the absolute best I can possibly make it. Whether I’m crafting a Terry’s chocolate orange drip cake, traditional chin chin, or any other sweet treat, the process of creation brings incredible joy and calm.

Naturally, those kitchen experiments needed a wider audience, so I started bringing them into work. Every Wednesday at noon in the main kitchen, a weekly ritual takes place. My wife always gets the very first slice set aside to take home later, but as soon as the rest is cut, the office buzzes to life. It's become so popular that both my colleagues and senior management have formally recognized the tradition through our workplace reward system, noting how amazing it is to see a crowd of people from different backgrounds and cultures gathered together, chatting and breaking the ice over something sweet.

More than the fact that the cake is usually done and dusted in about five minutes flat, what brings me the greatest joy is seeing how it connects people who might not normally start a conversation.It goes back to a belief I hold strongly: if you look throughout history, whenever people come together to connect, celebrate, or bridge a gap, it happens over food.

That belief is baked into everything I do here. My menu is a celebration of both comfort and discovery—featuring authentic classic English bakes alongside a growing selection of international sweet treats and snacks, staying as true to the original recipes as possible.
